High energy up-going muon simulated for IceCubeColor is representative of time. Early times are redder and later times are bluer. Each white ball shown is an optical sensor. Sensors that measured light, are colored with the arrival time relative to the trigger time. Snapshots in time of the cerenkov cone are shown for comparison. The cerenkov cones are modified by scattering in the ice. The scattering length varies with depth in the detector, making the cones somewhat lumpy. The mean expected scattering time is displayed.
